Launch Site: Launch Window: Orientation: SE Difficulty: Easy Height: 1445 m Cable Car: No Coordinates: 7.44986346, 47.24116716 Hike Time: 20 min Access: Drive from Solothurn to the Jura Pass transition. From there, follow the hiking trail to the launch site. The launch site is a steep meadow with a few small trees. Avoid flying in Bise (north-east wind) and west wind conditions. The 'Hasenmatt' is the highest point in the canton of Solothurn. You can drive up to the summit, but the last part must be done on foot. Its easy launch terrain and numerous landing options make it an excellent practice area. Flight Conditions: Southeast winds work well here. Reliable thermals allow for flights to 'Grenchenberg' and Mont Montoz. Difficulty: Conditions can be challenging during Bise (north-east wind) situations. Walk and Fly: Starting Point: Parking lot or Lommiswil From the parking lot, it takes about 25 minutes to walk to the launch site.
