This location is rarely used and is known for its hardcore walk & fly experience. The eastern-facing slope is very steep, offering numerous options for adventurous paragliders.
To reach the launch site, start from Leiten and follow the forest road into the Padaster Valley until you reach the first sharp right turn. Continue straight across a meadow, then over a bridge, and follow the footpath upwards. After passing the tree line, continue steeply uphill for a considerable distance, then turn left towards the Padasterjochhaus. From the hut, head initially towards Padasterjoch. After about 5 minutes, turn right and ascend the steep eastern flank to Hammerscharte, then follow the northeast ridge to the summit.
