At an elevation of 2300 meters, this launch site is categorized as medium difficulty and is rarely used. It is suitable for walk & fly activities. While it may not be a popular starting point, it offers good potential for cross-country (XC) flights.
Be cautious of the dangerous "Grimselschlange" when flying in north wind conditions. Otherwise, this location is a well-known waypoint at the end of the Goms valley, ideal for returning flights to Fiesch or for flying over the pass towards Chur.
