Description
Located in Praly, Piemonte, this mountain paragliding site offers an easy and accessible flying experience. The launch points are situated at Cappello d'Envie (2620 meters) and Bric Rond (2550 meters), with the landing zone at Ghigo (1500 meters). The elevation difference ranges between 1120 and 1050 meters.
The site is well-supported by the 13 Laghi chairlift, which provides a convenient 15-minute walk to the launch area at Cappello d'Envie, a scenic spot overlooking the Val Germanasca mountains. For those who prefer not to walk, there is a launch point just a few meters from the second chairlift station at Bric Rond, equipped with a windsock and visible from the chairlift.
The landing zone is directly in front of the chairlift departure point in Ghigo, on the left bank of the stream, marked with a windsock. Be cautious of the valley breeze during spring and summer, especially during peak heating hours, as it can affect your flight.
There is also a secondary landing area on a large meadow between the stream and the road, accessible by continuing past the chairlift parking lot and taking a small road on the right.
To get there, from Turin, take the Orbassano-Pinerolo ring road and continue towards Sestriere. Upon reaching Perosa Argentina, turn left towards Val Germanasca – Praly Ghigo. Follow the signs to the chairlift and park in the large lot. At the ticket office, mention that you are a paraglider pilot for a possible discount.
Upon arrival at the second chairlift station, follow the path starting immediately after the last cabin to an information board. From there, turn right to reach the Bric Rond launch or continue left, walking first on flat ground and then uphill through meadows to reach Cappello d'Envie.
