Paragliding Franson Peak Curlew, WA

Franson Peak, located in North Central Washington State, USA, offers a launch site at an elevation of 1152 meters with a height difference of approximately 600 meters. This site is rarely used and typically results in short flights. The site record is 3.7 km. The launch area is adjacent to a lookout tower, allowing for takeoffs from both the north and south sides of Franson Peak. Both sides feature gradually steepening slopes that lead to a cliff. There is also the possibility of top landings to the west of the launch areas. Access to the site requires a dirt road, and a vehicle with good clearance and 4WD is recommended.
