Paragliding Ferns Maui, HI

This paragliding site on Maui, managed by Paraglide Maui, is situated on the lee side of Mt. Haleakalā. The location benefits from protection against the trade winds, making it flyable approximately 330 days a year. The unique geography allows pilots to enjoy flights lasting about two to three hours in the morning until cloud cover forms. On favorable days, you can launch two or three times from Ferns before the clouds close off the launch. During these flights, you can expect lift ranging from 300 feet per minute (fpm) to 600 fpm.
