Description
At an elevation of 2155 meters, this site is highly popular and frequently used, even for competitions. It offers excellent cross-country (XC) flying opportunities with multiple launch options. The main launch site during the summer is located here.
To reach the launch site, take the cable car from Disentis to Caischavedra, then continue with the chairlift to Gendusas. Walk back 100 meters along the chairlift line to the windsock, where the launch site is situated.
Please note that the chairlift operates in the summer only after consultation with the Disentis mountain railways.
The launch site is often misnamed. It is not 'Plaun Tir' or 'Lai Alv' but 'Gendusas'.
This is the main launch site of Disentis.
