Description

In the Ticino region of Switzerland, you can enjoy paragliding at an altitude of 1990-2080 meters. This site is occasionally used and offers easy soaring and leisure flights, with good potential for cross-country (XC) flying. There are many take-off options in the vicinity, making it a versatile spot for paragliders. Both winter and summer flying are possible here. In the summer, thanks to the efforts of the "Amici del Nara" association, both chairlifts are operational, allowing you to reach the take-off point at 2,100 meters. The first chairlift starts in the village of Leontica, which is a 20-minute drive from Biasca (Gotthard Autobahn). The Bleniotal area is also easily accessible via the Lukmanier Pass. The summer operation of the chairlift runs from July 17 to August 29. There are several technically easy take-off spots, all of which can be reached on foot within 15-20 minutes. Landing zones are available in Pian Castro (600 meters) or Aquila (800 meters). The good E-SE exposure provides excellent thermal conditions, allowing for long flights in front of the Adula Glacier. With sufficient altitude, you can enjoy views of Bleniotal and Leventina, and there are opportunities for good cross-country flights. After your flight, several "Grotti" (traditional Swiss taverns) in the valley await to quench your thirst and hunger. For more information, visit [Nara Paragliding](http://www.nara.ch/).
