Description
Corgémont, located in the Jura mountain range of Switzerland, is a popular paragliding site, especially for evening flights. The take-off area is situated at an altitude of 1124 meters with a height difference of 400 meters. The site is frequently used, and cross-country flights are possible. Top landing is also an option here. You can reach the site by car.
The launch sites face north and are relatively narrow and steep. The large meadow behind the launch area allows for top landing, but be cautious of potential wind turbulence. The site is managed by the Paragliding and Hang Gliding Club Biel.
Corgémont is particularly favored for its evening flights when the north wind often creates conditions suitable for thermal flying or soaring. The launch site is relatively easy to use, and the trees located about 150 meters below are not an obstacle with modern flight equipment.
