Prato Colle Azzarà is suitable for beginners looking to make their first low-altitude flights. The slope's gradient allows pilots to gradually choose their takeoff height, ranging from a minimum of 3-4 meters to a maximum of 15-20 meters, before landing in the meadow below.
For those looking to gain more altitude, a ten-minute walk will take you to the summit above the Malga at an altitude of 1680 meters. From this small takeoff area, you can fly straight towards the valley floor and land in Villar Perosa.
Soaring can be challenging due to gusty winds and highly drifted and inclined thermals. For more advanced flights, it is recommended to explore other nearby sites.
