Located in Andorra, this paragliding site is accessible by road and is situated near the Pal/Arinsal ski station. The takeoff point is at an altitude of 2260 meters with a height difference of approximately 600 meters. This site is rarely used and not frequently logged.
The takeoff area is a large southeast-facing ridge, making it suitable for cross-country (XC) flights in Andorra. However, it is a committed flight with limited landing opportunities, so it's crucial to stay high and land high. The Ransol valley often experiences constant sink and turbulence, and the Incles valley doesn't perform much better. Getting past El Tarter on the north side has proven to be challenging on numerous occasions.
Above the ski slope, there are a few small thermals during the day and often good restitution at night, but these are generally not useful for long-distance flights. The recommended route is to head southeast above Canillo after catching the Casamanya thermal. With a cloud base of around 3500 meters, crossing the Andorra-Spain border should be possible. However, be cautious of the Pyrenees' north/south winds, which can be quite strong in this area. If the winds are from the north, it may also be possible to head south after catching a thermal above Canillo and fly towards Seu d'Urgell. Be aware of valley winds if you choose this direction.

From Andorra la Vella, take the road towards the Pal ski station. The takeoff point is located just above the village of Pal at Coll de la Botella, at an altitude of approximately 2100 meters. The maximum height difference is 550 meters.
