Located in the Dronero region of Italy, the Liretta main takeoff is a popular spot for both paragliding (PG) and hang gliding (HG). With an elevation of 1072 meters and a height difference of 472 meters, it offers excellent soaring conditions and good potential for cross-country (XC) flights. The site is frequently used and well-regarded in the paragliding community.
The takeoff area is user-friendly, with the advantage of having landing zones almost directly below. This allows pilots to make multiple attempts if necessary. Paragliders can prepare their wings and then fold them neatly while waiting for their turn to take off.
A shuttle service operated by the local club is available to transport pilots to the takeoff point. This service runs on weekdays at 13:00 upon request and continuously on weekends. The shuttle departs from the paragliding landing area.
