Description
La Cima di Medeglia, located at the opposite end of Monte Tamaro from the Vedeggio Valley, serves as an excellent training ground for both dynamic and thermal flying. It is particularly popular among local pilots for evening flights during the summer.

Access to Launch Sites:
1. Summit Launch:
From Bironico, take the road to Isone. At Medeglia, turn left towards Canedo. Before entering Canedo, turn right and follow the road until the end of the asphalt. Park your car there. Follow the private asphalt road southwards to the first big curve. At the curve, take the forest path to reach the summit launch.
2. Canedo Launch:
From Canedo, a marked trail (blue on the map) starts to the right of the village square, descending a staircase. The trail is unpaved and takes about 20-30 minutes to reach the launch. If weather conditions permit, you can reach the summit of Cima di Medeglia in flight.
Important Notes:
- Top landings are possible at the summit, but be cautious of large rocks and strong afternoon winds.
- Flying over Cima di Medeglia and its slopes is prohibited during the hunting season in September.
- Avoid the red-marked area on the map, indicating that the low launch at Motto del Termine is not accessible during the hunting period.
