Paragliding Christian Valley near Westbridge, BC

The site is located near Westbridge, 13.5 km (8.5 miles) north of Rock Creek and 35 km (22 miles) south of Beaverdell on Hwy 33. To reach the meeting place, take Hwy 33 to Westbridge, turn left onto Christian Valley Road, and proceed to km 6 at the tree farm. It takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from Kelowna. The landing zone (LZ) is one of the home airfields for the local MAAC Penticton and Summerland Model Air Clubs, as well as the Kelowna Ogopogo Radio Controllers Club. The ISC annual Fly-In events coincide with their Fly-Ins, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Since 2004, hang gliding (HG) and paragliding (PG) pilots have participated in the model airshow held at Hansinger's farm in mid-July and mid-September. The event offers camping, food, drinks, and a nearby beach/swimming hole. However, the site is primarily a model aircraft event, so it may not be suitable for a large crowd of pilots. Pilots should be prepared to clear the airspace and LZ when landing. If you plan to fly outside of event times, it is essential to stop by Hansinger's before heading to the launch. Being courteous to the hosts is crucial, as they have been very accommodating and may even offer some of Faye's delicious pie and drinks.
