Description
Located in the Liguria region of Italy, this paragliding site offers a takeoff altitude of 926 meters above sea level and a landing altitude of 420 meters, resulting in a vertical drop of 506 meters. The efficiency ratio is 1:4. The takeoff faces west, making it suitable for flights with winds from the north, although some turbulence may be encountered.
To reach the site, exit the A7 at Busalla and continue towards Casella. From Montoggio, drive to Fasciou and then proceed to the shooting range. From there, a short hike will take you to the takeoff point.
Pilots can utilize thermals along the ridge to the left of the takeoff, which continue towards Casella. Landing options include Casella, which requires maintaining a good altitude, or the closer Casalino. In case of insufficient altitude, an emergency landing can be made in the usually dry bed of the Scrivia River, though it's advisable to check its condition beforehand.
