Description
The launch site is situated at an altitude of 2250 meters, with a height difference of approximately 785 meters. This location is regularly used and offers cross-country flying opportunities. It appears to be the main launch site among the three Cry d'Err spots. There are various flight paths available towards the southeast, including directly in front of the mountain station.

To reach the launch site, take the gondola from Crans to Cry d'Err, then walk to the launch area, which is a steep meadow.
This is one of the many fantastic areas in Valais, well-served by cable cars and, as the pictures show, also well-suited for competitions with a stunning backdrop. There are many flight possibilities. With views of Mont Rosa, Dent Blanche, and the Matterhorn, you can easily climb to the base, which in summer can be over 4000 meters. The strong thermals can be a bit much for beginners, but the area is not too demanding in winter, even for less experienced pilots.
