Description
Cambewarra is a paragliding site located in the NSW South Coast of Australia. The site has a height of 612 meters and a height difference of 539 meters. This site is ridge soarable and has thermals, with an elevation of 2225 feet (680 meters). It is suitable for intermediate hang gliders with inland experience and advanced paragliders. If you plan to fly north to Stanwell Park, you must contact Sydney Flight Service and quote approval number HJ91-02. Altimeters and reserve parachutes are mandatory for flying at this site.
The height limit for flights is 7500 feet above sea level within a 15 km radius from the take-off point, except for the area south of the Shoalhaven River, which has naval air space restrictions (R437).
Be cautious of turbulence below and in front of the take-off area on thermic days and in crosswind conditions. For landing, please refer to the map for the designated landing areas.
