This launch site is the farthest from the mountain station, requiring a 20-30 minute walk. To reach the peak with the cross, follow the ridge eastward downhill towards the Lenggries Valley. With its orientation towards the north/northeast, it is directly and smoothly influenced by the valley wind. Historically, this was the only launch site from which one could safely glide to the landing zone during the early days of paragliding.
If launching from the Garland site becomes too turbulent, this location serves as a good alternative, provided you don't mind the approximately 20-minute walk.
