Description
Bob's Hill in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, is a lesser-known paragliding site with an elevation of approximately 222 meters and a height difference of 160 meters. The site is rarely used and primarily suited for soaring.
The wind direction for optimal flying conditions ranges from 290° to 10°. Pilots can enjoy both soaring and thermalling here.
Landing is straightforward with ample space for an easy top landing or a bomb-out north of the road. However, it's crucial to carefully select your landing zone on the north side of the road before taking off. Be aware of nearly invisible overhead power wires in the area.
