Description
The Hörnle mountain, located in the Bad Kohlgrub region of Germany, is a spot favored by leisure pilots. Since 2008, it has been the home mountain for the Kocheler Paragliding Friends. The terrain is managed by the municipality of Bad Kohlgrub in collaboration with the Edelweiß Paragliding School. Pilots can conveniently reach the top via a cost-effective chairlift, with the launch site situated just 50 meters from the summit station.
Launching is only permitted with winds coming from northern directions. Detailed information about the regulations and conditions for flying in this area can be obtained at the valley station. During grazing periods, pilots are required to take off from the lower launch site. The area is also used for pilot training.
There is a campsite located at the landing zone, and Bad Kohlgrub offers a wide selection of excellent guesthouses and hotels for accommodation.
