This site is regularly used and offers nice local soaring opportunities. It features a small ridge in central Åsa with a beautiful launch and stunning views. There are large landing areas on the beaches on both sides, but be cautious during the summer as children often play on the beach. In such cases, it is better to land on the grassy meadow to the left of the ridge when viewed from the launch.
Parking is available either at the playground on Skytteviksvägen or at St Lars Chapel. The best approach is to walk up from Stenvik, where a path leads from the beach. We have permission from the landowner to launch and land here.
The site works best with a south-southeast wind around 7 m/s, which provides broad lift and allows you to connect to the lower ridge at Vita Sand and soar above the kiosk.
