Description
At an altitude of 1486 meters with a height difference of 1099 meters, this paragliding site in Italy is frequently used for soaring and SIV (Simulation d’Incident en Vol) training over water. It is also popular for school and panoramic flights. While some cross-country (XC) flights are possible in the spring, most pilots prefer this location for its scenic and tranquil flights, especially in the morning or late afternoon.
Access to the launch site is typically organized with a shuttle. You can drive up to the malga/alp and then proceed on foot. Be cautious of the strong Ora wind, which often blows between 11 AM and 5 PM.
This site is not primarily chosen for its XC potential but rather for the significant height over water, making it ideal for SIV training or enjoying a peaceful, scenic flight.

The area offers various training opportunities, including safety courses, and boasts beautiful landscapes.
To get there, drive from Baitoni to Bondone and continue uphill. The road becomes relatively narrow but is paved except for the last 500 meters. At the fork, after passing the meadow on the left, take the left path uphill. Follow the upper path at the houses, heading to the north side behind the meadow ridge. Drive as far as you can, then follow the path behind the ridge, which ends at a steep slope. Follow the ridge to reach the launch site.
Accommodation is available at a campsite in the northeast corner of the lake.
