To reach the takeoff point, take the cable car from Grafenort to Bruniswald. From there, follow the marked hiking trail to Alp Walen. The takeoff area is a moderately steep alpine meadow with a few scattered fir trees, located above Brunniswaldflue.
Flight:
This site is suitable for pure glide flights to the landing zone in Grafenort, making it perfect for flight students and leisure pilots. Alternatively, you can gain altitude and continue flying towards Brunni or Haldigrat.
Caution:
The Engelberg Valley is filled with cables and wires, so be vigilant.
