The launch is difficult due to the steep drop-off and narrow space, so mastering the reverse launch technique and maintaining an active flying style after takeoff is essential. Access to the launch site involves a cable car ride from Adliswil to Felsenegg, followed by a 15-minute walk along the ridge to the Balderen launch site. For those driving, you can reach the landing area by heading from Zurich to Leimbach, then towards the visible high buildings of the retirement home, and turning right towards Uetliberg. The landing area with a windsock is visible after about 200 meters. Parking regulations must be observed, and a fee of CHF 5.00 per flight is required to maintain the site.
