Wind specificities: The wind is good almost all year round, except for July and August, which is the lowest wind season, and sometimes when there is Red Tide. The rest of the year, this is a very reliable spot. The most reliable months for wind are from February to June. Wind is quite strong and constant if coming from Northeast, the prevalent, trade wind direction. Wind varies from 12-35 knots from this direction. Wind can also be Southwest in the mornings which is side off, this is normally before the Northeast kicks in around 12-2 p.m. When pressure systems come from the north, the wind can come from Northwest to North, to NNE. This wind is quite onshore, and usually VERY strong, and often gusty. At times, the Northeaster will not kick in and the wind will stay from the Southeast, and stay offshore, this winds is usually very warm and gusty, because it comes from the land. Kitesurfing is possible, with a rescue boat, but not recommended.
