Best months: January, February, March Access description: by Car, Bus - Take the Bonompak extension which is the continuation of the Bonompak 3 lane artery of Cancun once it crosses the road of "Lopez Portillo". Drive until you are in front of the Car Ferry that goes to Isla Mujeres. You will be at the proverbial end of the road. Hang a left onto the hard packed dirt road which leads into the Ritzy Golf and marina development called "Playa Mujeres". Drive for 20 minutes on the well maintained dirt road until you pass the "cabanas" of Capitan Morgan. One more kilometer on your odometer will bring you to the left hand turnoff and, if the wind hasn't been too strong, there should be a sign that says Ikarus.
