Both hang gliders and paragliders frequently use this site. Access: You can reach the site by car. Park your vehicle at the Restaurant Wertberg and walk approximately 5 minutes to the take-off area next to the chalet. Remember to close the barriers after passing through. Take-off: The take-off area is south-facing and relatively flat at the top, becoming steeper further down. Landing: You can either top land or use the mowed meadow near the football field in La Heutte. Be cautious of the power line along the road when landing, as it poses a significant hazard. Overflying the cliffs and landing in La Heutte can be turbulent. Flight: The region offers excellent thermal soaring conditions, especially in the morning when updrafts are strong. In the afternoon, you can continue soaring over the Vallée de Tavannes if the thermals permit. The various landing spots throughout the valley provide flexibility for cross-country beginners.
