The launch site is located at an elevation of 1850 meters with a northwest orientation and is of medium difficulty. There is no cable car available to reach the site. The coordinates are 8.87217717, 47.06132005. The hike to the launch site takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. To reach the launch site, start from the parking area at Ochsenboden and follow the road northeast until the path leads into the forest. Continue southeast over the wooded ridge, ascending steeply until you reach Gartenbeetli, a steep, grassy chute flanked by rock bands on both sides. Follow the right edge for about 50 meters up to the rocky end. From there, a path carved into the rock leads to less steep grassy slopes on the broad ridge. The launch site itself is a moderately steep, grassy slope with some undulations. The 'Wändlispitz' is the highest of the three peaks of 'Fluebrig'. The very steep approach is recommended for experienced hikers. However, the effort is worthwhile as Wändlispitz is an excellent valley wind soaring area. It is also possible, and often better, to launch before reaching Wändlispitz. Be cautious of shooting activities in the LS-D12 Sihltal area. During shooting operations, avoid flying too far into the valley and stay before the valley narrows. In the Hoch-Ybrig area, there is a wildlife protection zone valid throughout the year. Overflight is permitted only at a minimum altitude of 2000 meters above sea level.
