Located in Sesimbra, Portugal, this paragliding site is highly frequented and offers excellent cliff soaring opportunities with some potential for cross-country (XC) flights. The takeoff area is situated next to the restaurant "A Cabana do Pescador." Note that there is no mobile network coverage at the site. The site has a takeoff altitude of 32 meters and a flight length of up to 3,000 meters. The highest recorded flight distance from this site is 34.2 km. The takeoff area is well-maintained, grassy, and managed by local pilots, making it a model for other sites. To reach the site, follow the road from Lagoa de Albufeira to Alfarim, continue straight to the village of Meco, and at the intersection, turn towards the beaches and head to Praia das Bicas. The takeoff point is about 100 meters to the left and is known for its good quality and maintenance. The flight type is dynamic, with a high-performance ridge that extends to Praia do Meco. Transitions between these two locations are common. However, note that to the left, there is no beach, making top landing the only option. The site is suitable for both paragliding and hang gliding, accommodating levels 1 and 2 pilots. Access is possible by car or on foot.
