It is steep and straightforward, making it ideal for beginners. There are important rules and information displayed at the Naraus station that must be followed. To the left of the Naraus restaurant, the terrain is flatter, and launching in southeast wind conditions can be challenging. Top landing is recommended only for experienced pilots. This area offers a variety of launch options throughout the year, with popular routes including flights to Disentis and back. Pilots also attempt FAI triangles over 100 km. The cable car system is well-suited for thermal flying in winter and autumn due to the high-altitude launch sites above the valley inversion. If the Cassons launch site is not flyable, you can head over to Crap Sogn Gion using the same day pass for the cable cars. Cross-country flying towards Disentis is relatively easy from this location. The area is open and offers clear visibility, with minimal difficulties. However, in winter, be cautious of the explosive cable below the Cassons launch site.
