The takeoff altitude is 1950 meters, and the landing altitude is 1275 meters, giving a vertical drop of 675 meters. The difficulty level is easy, though the landing can be a bit delicate. The takeoff faces southeast. The starting point is Borgata Asciutti in Piemonte. Despite the season, the flight was fantastic. The dynamics on Rocca Moross helped gain altitude, and the wide thermals in the center of the valley allowed for a return to Marmottere, surpassing its altitude by about 200 meters. The entire flight lasted approximately 2 hours. The chosen landing spot was a bit delicate as it was on a slope along the road where we parked the car. There are safer, wide meadows lower down on the evident plateau. To get there from Turin, take the direct route to Lanzo and then to Viù. Cross the town and continue straight, following signs for Tornetti, Alpe Bianca, and Asciutti. Arrive at Borgata Asciutti and continue on the paved road, passing a distinctive monument with three pneumatic hammers fixed to a rock. Continue until you reach a right-hand bend where a dirt road begins, blocked by a chain. Park where possible, respecting the meadows. A good parking spot is also available in front of the pneumatic hammer monument. Continue on foot along the dirt road, passing a plateau (Pian delle Mutte) at the end of which, on the right, you will find another dirt road, also blocked by a chain. Follow this new dirt road to the end, where you will find an alpine pasture with a fountain called Alpetto. From here, head west-northwest until you encounter the dirt road coming from Alpe Bianca Tornetti. Due to high snow cover, we couldn't determine if a summer trail leads to this dirt road. Because of the snow and lack of snowshoes, we didn't reach the top and took off from an altitude of 1950 meters on a mixed slope of grass, snow, and rocks.
