Monte Farinha, commonly known as Senhora da Graça, is a cone-shaped mountain located in Mondim de Basto, Portugal. This site is renowned for its strong thermals, especially during the summer, making it suitable for experienced pilots only. The launch area is situated directly under the parking lot, equipped with a mat and a wind indicator. The take-off directions include NW, W, and SW, with an altitude of 920m ASL. The landing zone is relatively far and not easy, which adds to the challenge. The site is very frequented, and cross-country (XC) flights are possible. The best time for good XC flights is from March to May. However, be cautious of the brutal midday thermals during summer. The local paragliding club, Clube de Parapente de Bastos, provides additional support and information. The mountain's steep slopes allow for take-offs in multiple directions without significant issues.
