Located in the Lenk region of Switzerland, this paragliding site offers a range of experiences suitable for various skill levels. The site is particularly popular in the spring and winter, providing excellent soaring and cross-country opportunities. In winter, the road to Obere Seewle is not accessible by car, but the Metsch mountain lifts are operational. The Metsch area is known for its long thermal flights starting as early as the end of February. Access to the take-off point is via a cable car and a 4-seater chairlift up to Metschberg. From there, it's a 10-minute walk along the edge of the ski slope to the windsock. Depending on snow conditions, this ascent can be challenging, but a path usually forms from frequent use. An additional 10-minute walk along the ski slope to Metschstand is recommended for easier thermal entry and access to a restaurant with a sun terrace and panoramic views. Note that the 6-seater chairlift to Metschstand is only accessible with skis. The landing zone is at Rothenbach, directly south of the large parking lot and the base station of the cable car. Be mindful of the cable car wires when planning your landing approach and check the information board for any updates. The take-off area is a large, steep meadow facing southwest at an altitude of 2060 meters. It is easily accessible via the cable car from Lenk to Metsch, followed by a chairlift ride.
