Located in the Trentino-Südtirol region of Italy, this paragliding site offers a takeoff altitude of 1330 meters with a height difference of 657 meters. It is a medium-difficulty site, regularly used for thermal soaring and good cross-country (XC) flights. The takeoff area is very steep and situated just below a restaurant terrace. Due to the presence of ropes and irrigation poles, the space can feel a bit cramped. You might need to ask for permission to use this site. The landing options in the valley are limited, as the area is densely packed with orchards and vineyards. Suitable landing fields are more common at higher altitudes. The designated landing zone is next to the parking lot of the valley station, but it is somewhat challenging due to the presence of power lines and 3-meter-high irrigation poles spaced every 5 meters. A cable car runs every half hour or continuously during peak times, and there is a local bus stop right at the valley station. The takeoff spot is conveniently located just below the mountain station near the restaurant terrace. The area is generally not crowded, except for flight schools and tandem pilots, who should be given priority. For the flight, you can gain altitude above the takeoff area and then fly left towards the ridge. From there, you can continue towards Hochmuth, which opens up various flight paths. Soaring conditions are favorable around the takeoff area and towards the left ridge. Takeoff is extremely steep and located right by the gondola from Dorf Tirol.
