Bei Nord-Ostwind gut, Almoxarife, 60m - hinter dem Aussichtspunkt Ponta da Espalamaca rechts in die nächste Straße einbiegt und kurz vor dem Ende der Sackgasse linker Hand zur Startwiese. Trotz seiner geringen Höhendifferenz hat auch dieses Gelände seinen Reiz. Soaring mit zeitweise anhaltender thermischen Unterstützung fordert hier von den Piloten von Beginn an hohe Aufmerksamkeit. Von hier aus können Flüge ins Inselinnere gewagt werden. Landen kann man unten im Tal neben dem Campingplatz oder direkt am Strand von Praia do Almoxarife. Die Unterkunft auf dem einfachen aber ordentlichen Campingplatz ist die wohl preiswerteste Art der Unterbringung. Im angrenzenden Ort lohnt sich ein Besuch bei Brigitte & Henry. Sie führen ein kleines aber feines Restaurant (Cavalo-Marinho) mit typisch regionalen Spezialitäten.
