Crucita, Ecuador Crucita is a popular coastal soaring site in Ecuador, known for its consistent wind conditions and scenic flights over the ocean. The site is regularly used by paragliders and offers some opportunities for cross-country (XC) flights. The take-off area is private, flat, and spacious, making it suitable for tandem flights. The region is ideal for soaring from 10:00 AM until dusk, almost every day of the year. The site is well-maintained, and there is no fee for using the launch area as of November 2008. You can reach the take-off spot with a 10-minute walk or by car. The area is home to hundreds of pelicans, frigatebirds, and vultures, adding to the unique flying experience.
