Access is via a well-maintained toll road from Golling. There are no launch or landing fees. The Trattberg has multiple launch sites ranging from southeast to northwest, with a restricted north-facing launch. There is also a hang glider launch site towards the northwest. The thermally active season starts in April and ends in October. You can start flying towards the south from around 11:00 AM. The west side becomes thermally active around 2:30 PM and is ideal for soaring with the right wind conditions. The Trattberg offers good potential for cross-country flights and can be used as a launch site for flights extending to the Ennstal region.
