Typically, pilots need to hike up, making the standard launch site at Kamel/Breitlauenen more convenient. To reach the launch site, take the cogwheel train for 50 minutes to Schynige Platte, then walk for about 20 minutes to the starting point. From there, you can fly towards the setting sun and land in Wilderswil or the center of Interlaken. The launch site is a steep grassy slope, suitable only for paragliders, with a risk of falling rocks.
