However, the Haslital region has a significant drawback for tourism and paragliding: the military airfield Meiringen, located in the middle of the valley, which greatly restricts flying in the Hasliberg area. It is crucial to adhere to the regulations and instructions from the military airfield Meiringen. The entire flying area is within the HX zone of the military airfield, meaning it can be activated at any time, even on weekends. Therefore, it is essential to check if the military airfield is active before each flight in the Haslital. The Innertkirchen landing zone can only be approached from the east due to the Heliport Innertkirchen 'Schatenhalb'. Be cautious of strong valley wind rotors behind the Aare Gorge.
