This paragliding site, with an elevation of 223 meters, is a members-only location managed by the Mid Wales Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club. It is known for its soaring potential and is rated as rarely used. The site is a long northwest-facing cliff offering stunning views over the estuary and opportunities for mountain flying. The take-off area is located below the windsock pole, just to the left of a large rock. Pilots need to ensure there is enough wind or be prepared for a committed run to clear the barbed wire. For bottom landing, paragliders can use the expansive beach at low tide or a small sloping pebble bank at high tide. During summer, be cautious of people on the beach. Hang gliders have the option to land on grass closer to the estuary or in a smaller field behind the houses, but it is advisable to consult a knowledgeable member for precise locations. Access and parking require special attention. First-time visitors should accompany a regular from Fairbourne and park near the wall by the road, avoiding driving to the front of the site. There are several restrictions and important notes to consider. This site is strictly for members only due to past issues, and there is a significant risk of losing access if guidelines are not followed. Pilots should be courteous to any landowners or farm workers they encounter. Additionally, be aware of wind direction changes, especially with the onset or cessation of the sea breeze in summer. With a strong north wind and no sea breeze, it is possible to fly to the ridge behind the site and then onto Cadair Idris, but be cautious of forced landings in the narrow valley in front of the mountain. Winter flying may encounter wave conditions.
