Experience an exhilarating and memorable takeoff with commercial airliners passing nearby or just above. The launch site is directly in the flight path for Federico Fellini International Airport in Miramare di Rimini, adding a unique thrill to your adventure. The flight offers scenic and enjoyable views, allowing you to soar from Pesaro to Baia Flaminia and back, utilizing dynamic or thermodynamic lift. You can also attempt a cross-country flight to Vallugola and return, or make an emergency landing on the beach at Gabicce Mare or further along at Cattolica. Fly along the steep coastline from Gabicce Monte to Pesaro and back, covering approximately 10 km one way. The launch site is steep and challenging, suitable only for paragliders with good launch techniques. Hang gliders will need to perform a cliff launch. There is a small paraglider landing area below the launch site, with only a few emergency landing spots available for experienced pilots. The primary landing area is to the left of the launch site in the bay at Gabicce Mare. Paragliders will find this manageable, but hang gliders should inspect the landing area beforehand or opt to land on the large beach in Pesaro, avoiding the busy bathing season when the beach is crowded. To get there, take the Cattolica exit on the highway (south of Rimini) and head towards Gabicce Mare-Gabicce Monte. Pass Gabicce Monte and continue towards Pesaro. After about 1 km, you will see a campsite, and 50 meters before it, in a curve, there is a restaurant. Park here and take the narrow, overgrown footpath behind the restaurant to reach the launch site. For those who prefer walk and fly, you can start from the landing area and walk up along the road. It's not the most scenic route, but it works. Alternatively, leave your car at the top and walk back up after your flight. The elevation gain is only 150 meters. Accommodation is available at the campsite near the parking and launch area. Landing Area 1: Easy, located at sea level, between Gabicce Monte and the parking area (campsite), to the left of the launch site in a bay on the beach. Landing Area 2: Difficult, located 5 meters above sea level, a small paraglider landing area below the launch site, accessible via a narrow road after the campsite.
