Pine Cay - Turks and Caicos Pine Cay features a beach break with a right-hand wave, primarily over a coral reef bottom. The wave is generally powerless, breaking best at mid tide during falling tide conditions when the wind is from the east. The main break is located approximately 400 meters offshore at Fort George Cut, while a secondary beach break is found between Pine Cay and Water Cay. Accessing Pine Cay is challenging as it is a private island, requiring a boat trip from Providenciales. The main break off the barrier reef works when offshore waves reach 1.5 to 2 meters, while the beach break is infrequent and typically small. Despite its limited wave quality, the spot offers solitude, with crowds being virtually non-existent during the week and weekends. However, surfers should be cautious of potential dangers such as urchins, sharks, and the private nature of the beach.
