The site has an approximate height of 420 meters and a horizontal distance of around 315 meters. There are no flight logs available for this location. It is situated near or within the controlled airspace (CTR) of Ulsan airport. Mt. Jungkwang Choburi
Height: 446 meters, Height Difference: 313 meters
This site is regularly used for thermal soaring, with some potential for cross-country flights. The site record is 47.0 km under good conditions.
Takeoff:
The takeoff area is narrow but well-maintained with a carpeted surface that prevents snagging your canopy. It can be technical in windy conditions due to its size. The trail to the top is very difficult and requires a 4x4 vehicle. Hiking is not recommended. Local paragliding schools organize shuttle services to the top.

Landing:
The landing area is easy to manage. In the late evening at sunset, you may need to land from the west due to changing wind directions.
Getting There:
From Seoul, head to Yongin City, which is very close to the amusement park 'Everland'. Take road number 45 and look for the intersection called 'Cho-Bu-Ri' (초부리). The GIN factory and GIN Mania retail store are located two bus stops north of Cho-Bu-Ri.
From the Youngin Bus Terminal, which services buses from all over Korea, take regional bus #20 to Cho-Bu-Ri.
Bus Numbers from Seoul to Cho-Bu-Ri Bus Stop:
- From GanByeong Station: 1113
- From Sadang Station: 1500-2
Bus Numbers from Suwon Station to Cho-Bu-Ri Bus Stop:
- 66, then transfer to bus 20 after 5 to 9 stops before the end of the line (Everland)
- 10, 10-4, 10-5 will take you to Youngin Terminal, then transfer to bus 20
Get off at the Cho-Bu-Ri bus stop and walk 2 km to the landing site.
Weather Hazards:
May is known for having the highest winds.

Local clubs and schools with good reputations and English-speaking staff include Airfield and Sky.
Tourism:
The best restaurant on the hill is just 350 meters from the Sky Paragliding Office. It is an orange and brown building offering traditional Korean food (not spicy) with a traditional table setting (sit on the floor).
Takeoff:
The launch area is excellent, with several trucks making trips up the hill multiple times a day. Practice takeoffs and landings are available for approximately $27 a day (for the truck ride), or you can walk for free.
