Camp Catta, nestled between the Chameleon and Tsaranoro cliffs in Madagascar, offers an exceptional paragliding experience. With an elevation of 1120 meters and a height difference of approximately 230 meters, the site provides breathtaking landscapes and a large, flat valley for peaceful landings. The mountain wind cycles are well-defined, allowing multiple flight windows daily. However, it is advisable to avoid flying during the moon change and the July-August period when trade winds are strong. The local community is enthusiastic and supportive, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for pilots. As a relatively new paragliding site, only about fifty pilots have flown here, all of whom agree that the experience is unforgettable. Efforts are ongoing to improve the launching grounds by terracing, removing stones, and other measures to ensure safe takeoffs, even for beginners. There are currently three launching grounds available, depending on the weather conditions. A local pilot is always on hand to provide advice on flights and optimal times for takeoff.
