Mount Pleasant

Located in St. John Parish, Barbados, this paragliding site is rarely used and primarily suitable for soaring. The best season for flying is typically from August to December, though June and July are also possible. The site faces East-Southeast and is situated about 10 minutes inland, directly above sugar cane fields, which can create buoyant and potentially thermic conditions. The take-off point is at an elevation of 161 meters (528.2 feet) with coordinates 13°9’36”N, 59°28’14”W. The landing point is at an elevation of 94 meters (308.4 feet) with coordinates 13°9’36”N, 59°28’5”W. The wind direction is generally from the East, Northeast, and Southeast. Barbados has a tropical monsoon climate with two main seasons: the dry season from June to November and the wet season from December to May. Temperatures range from 21°C (69.8°F) to 31°C (87.8°F).
