Wijk aan zee de Bunker is a cozy kite spot in North Holland. Here you will mainly find locals of all levels, from beginner to advanced kite surfer. The atmosphere is relaxed, people help each other, there is always someone in for a chat. In short, this is the place to be for an ideal kitesurfing vibe!

Due to the wide beach, there is enough space to leave your kite. The water conditions are fine. There can be reasonable waves rolling in and there can be a strong current. Certainly at high tide it can be a “bastard” here, but in general it is wonderful to sail here. Depending on the tide (ebb or flow) you have more or less chance that you can stand, but once you sail away from the coast it quickly gets deep.

West and west-north-west have a direct onshore wind. You have to be able to walk really high to sail here otherwise you will not get away.
